Exam Stars are a dedicated team of tutors that teach Performance and Communication subjects in schools. Lesson are taught to solo, duo or small groups of students within the school day.
We follow the syllabus of The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) which gives the students the opportunity to enter a LAMDA examination and we are proud to say we have 100% examination pass rate!
The LAMDA syllabus offers a variety of examinations in:
• Performance (Acting, Devising Drama & Mime)
• Communication (Speaking Verse and Prose, Reading for Performance & Public Speaking)
• Musical Theatre (Acting and Singing).
Lessons take place during the school day but can be offered at lunch or after school if preferred. Lesson times during the school day are put on a rotation system to ensure minimal disruption to the academic timetable. Examinations are either, held within school during the school day or, held locally so students and parents won’t need to travel far.
Exam Stars understand how busy school life can be, so we strive to offer a hassle-free service for schools. All administrative tasks are left in our hands. We are registered as a Private Examination Centre meaning the examiner travels to the students. At Exam Stars, we arrange lessons times, recitals, payments, examination entries and most importantly liaise with parents and school to ensure the students’ progress and development in lessons is shared
As long as the students are keen to learn and there is a space available to conduct the lessons, the rest is up to us!
